Born in Tamil Nadu. Started her
training in dance at the age of 10 under
Smt Malarkodi Vijayaraghavan (Bharathanatyam teacher and dancer). She proved
her talent at the very beginning by performing in many well known sabhas in
Chenni.
In 1998 her deep interest in Bharathanatyam brought her to the world renowned
institution "Kalakshetra", college of fine arts. During the four years at
Kalakshetra she participated in numerous kalakshetra productions like 'Ramayana Series', 'Usha Parinayam', 'Akka Maha Devi' etc. After completing four years of training at Kalakshetra, she joined Keli - Art and Cultural Educational Trust, Chennai, a well-known Institute as a lecturer in Bharathanatyam. She has choreographed numerous productions like Krishnaleela and so on.
She has also worked with many leading groups in India and abroad. Her thrust to furter
her knowledge led her to Professor C.V. Chandrasekhar, a renowned Bharathanatyam dancer
and musician.
Her major achievements are the performance in the famous dance dramas like "Marthyan",
produced by Noopuram, headed by the lecturer of Kalakshetra, Sheejit Krishna
(a dancer and choreographer). Participated in various dance productions and
variety programmes with "Marga" - a dance company headed by Unnikrishna amd Usha.
Performed in productions like "Punyakodi", "Thulasi", of the Rangoli Foundation
(Los Angeles, U.S.A) directed by Malathi Iyengar. She has been a part of "Kreeda",
"Holi" and various other production of her guru Professor C.V.Chandrasekhar.
Has been part of "uest for freedom", "Sujalam Subhalam", productions of "Shrishti".
The current production "Silapathikaram" of "Cleveland Cultural and Alliance (U.S.A),
was conducted all over the America and Canada. She had the opportunity to perform
in "Nachiar Thirumozhi" & "Gajanana", produced by Anita Ratnam's Arangam.
Apart from being a dancer she also does Nattuvangam. She has also given many performances
as a Nattuvanar.
