R.L.V. Radhakrishnan was born on April 5, 1959. His father is Chellappan Nair and mother is Thankamma.

After SSLC he joined Post Diploma in Kathakali Vesham for 8 years under Kalamandalam Rajan. And has learned Kathakali Music for 6 years. Also learned Carnatic Music and Bharathanatyam.

His expertise is in 'Sthree' and 'Pacha' characters. Also doing all other characters.

Has performed Kathakali all over India and participated in the American trip conducted by Tourism Department of India and has got nine medals and certificates from there. Also got many prizes and Awards by performing demonstration classes in many stages. Received Kaladarpana Award and Award from R.L.V. College. Performing "sthree' characters with A grade artists in all around India and foreign countries and doing TV programs also. Now working as Kathakali instructor in Padmasree Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair Smaraka Kerala Kalalalayam.
